The period of adolescence is a tumultuous time where teens are faced with diverse and complex developmental tasks and emotions. On one hand they are in the process of separating from the dependence of childhood, whilst on the other hand they are moving towards adulthood. It is a time where emotions often run high, and where their boundaries with the family change. The most crucial element of this period of life is the teen developing their own sense of identity in relation to the world.
I operate by integrating talk therapy, therapeutic board games as well as written exercises in order to explore their real feelings and thoughts. Most importantly, I believe that progress can be made when a relaxed, trusting and comfortable environment is created.
